Roberta Noronha is our Head of Investor Relations since June, 2023. Prior to joining StoneCo., she was the IR Director at C&A, where she spent three years. Previously, she served as Planning and IR Director at Iguatemi and as IR Director at Cielo. Additionally, she served as IR Manager at TAM and worked as a consultant for The Energy Consulting Group and Accenture. Earlier in her career, Roberta also had a position of Researcher at McKinsey. She holds an MBA at IMD Business School and a bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering at Universidade de São Paulo.

Pedro Zinner is our Chief Executive Officer since March, 2023. Before that, he served at StoneCo as a Board Member since March, 2022, bringing with him over 25 years of experience in strategy, risk management and finance. Prior to joining StoneCo., he was the Chief Executive Officer of Eneva S.A. and led the company through a transformative journey that positioned it as a leading integrated energy corporation in Brazil. Prior to that he served as Chief Executive Officer of Parnaiba Gas Natural, Brazil's largest on-shore gas producer, and held executive positions at BG Group as the group treasurer and head of tax, as well as at Vale S.A. in treasury and corporate finance roles. Additionally, he served as the global head of corporate risk management in Switzerland. Earlier in his career, Zinner held senior roles in investment banking at Banco Icatu. He holds an MBA from Chicago Booth School of Business and a BA in Economics from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro.

Lia Matos is our Chief Strategy & Marketing Officer since October, 2023. She joined StoneCo in 2016 and is responsible for designing our strategy, leading the implementation and coordinating our marketing strategies, institutional branding and end-to-end client experience. She also serves as a Board Member to Ambev S.A. since 2021. Prior to joining StoneCo., she served as a Family Office Director for Varbra S.A., and occupied several positions at McKinsey & Company, including as an Associate Partner. Mrs. Matos holds a bachelor’s degree in physics from the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro and a PhD in physics and electrical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Mateus Scherer is our Chief Financial Officer & Investor Relations Officer since June, 2023 and July, 2023, respectively. He held the position of Vice President of Finance since April, 2022, and has been a partner at StoneCo. since 2015. He has been responsible for Treasury, Capital Allocation and Strategic Projects in connection with new investments, M&As, capital raises, compensation, among others. Prior to joining StoneCo., he served as an equity analyst for Nucleo Capital. Mr. Scherer holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Economics at Insper.

Mateus Biselli is our Chief Client Officer of Small and Medium Merchant Business since October, 2023. He joined StoneCo. in 2013 and has held leadership positions in the Sales, People, Operations and SMB Client segment. He played a pivotal role in shaping our distribution channels and operational model right from its inception, actively contributing to the implementation and successful scaling of our Hub Strategy. He graduated in Naval Engineering from the Escola Politécnica da Universidade de São Paulo and completed the General Management Program 32 at Harvard University in 2022.

Victor Lino is our Chief Client Officer of Micro Merchant Business since October, 2023. He joined the Company in 2017 within the logistics team, overseeing planning and supply chain optimization (POS CAPEX). He played a pivotal role in the inception of Ton, focusing on product development to meet customer demands. Starting as a Risk Manager, he swiftly transitioned to managing Ton's distribution model post-launch. In 2022, Lino was appointed as the Head of Sales for the micro-merchant segment. He graduated in Production Engineering from the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro.

João Bernartt is our Chief Product & Innovation Officer since March, 2022. He is also partner and investor of Yalo Inc. the first Meta's BSP in the world, and was the Country Launcher of its operation in Brazil during 2021. Bernartt is an investor and advisor to several technology-based startups, mainly focused on e-commerce, social-commerce, cross-border retail, security, logistics and AI. Previously, he was a Board Member and Advisor of multiple retail and technology companies in Brazil and was the founder and CEO of Chaordic, a company focused on information retrieval solutions for the e-commerce industry. Additionally, he was the Head of Omnichannel solutions at Linx. Mr. Bernartt holds a bachelor's degree in Engineering of Control and Automation and a master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence, Data Mining and Machine Learning from the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina.

Marcus Fontoura is our Chief Technology Officer since June, 2022. Prior to joining StoneCo., Mr. Fontoura was a Technical Fellow and Corporate Vice President at Microsoft, where he worked as the chief architect for Azure compute and leader of the efficiency team. At Microsoft, he also worked on the production infrastructure for Bing. Previously, he served as a Staff Research Scientist at Google and as a Principal Research Scientist at Yahoo! Research. Additionally, Dr. Fontoura worked as a Research Staff Member at the IBM Almaden Research Center, where he was awarded with an IBM Outstanding Technical Achievement Award. He holds a PhD from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro and was a postdoctoral researcher in the Computer Science Department at Princeton University for one year.

João Misko is our Head of Payments Platform. Before joining StoneCo, his last experience was as a Consultant at Accenture, where he was responsible for designing and delivering digital projects, especially regarding technology and strategy. Previously, he served as a Business Advisor at Fábrica de Aplicativos, and occupied several positions at Mowa Labs, a company responsible for the development of customized applications and mobile products. Mr. Misko holds a degree in Computing Engineering from the Escola Politécnica da Universidade de São Paulo

Rodrigo Cury is our Head of Banking since August, 2022. With more than 25 years in the Banking industry, he has performed different roles across different businesses and countries in Europe and Americas before joining StoneCo.. His most recent experience was at BTG Pactual, where he was the responsible Partner to build up and deliver a Digital Consumer Bank. Previously, he worked at Santander as Cards & Digital Payments Managing Director, and at Citi and Barclays Bank occupying different positions. He holds a degree in Marketing from Mackenzie University, an MBA in Financial Management from Centro de Estudios Financieros and Executive Programs from Stanford University and Harvard University.

Gregor Ilg is our Head of Credit since October, 2022. With over 30 years of experience in financial markets, he spent 22 years at Santander Brasil and 10 years at The First National Bank of Boston, where he initially joined as a trainee in the Risks and Business areas. At Santander, he started as responsible for the Corporate Banking Business and later transitioned to the Treasury Division to develop an area designed to distribute derivatives to the Middle Market, Private Banking and Retail Business. Following these roles, he moved to the Credit Division to manage the Corporate Banking Risk Area and subsequently served as the Head of Santander’s SMEs Retail Risks area. He holds a degree in Agricultural Engineering from the Universidade Estadual de Campinas, and a postgraduate diploma in Business Administration from the Fundação Getúlio Vargas.

Natan Gorin is our Head of Operations Technology Platform since January, 2023. He joined the company in 2015 and is responsible for designing our systems to power our frontline operations and strategy. Over the years, he served several management positions on the customer service, sales and technology teams that were later consolidated as the Operations Platform. Prior to joining StoneCo., Mr. Gorin created education-focused mobile apps used by thousands of students across Brazil.
